Pantanal Popular Tour - September

Twelve days across Brazil's greatest wildlife stage. The Pantanal is the largest wetland on the planet, and this classic loop strings together its very best: the dusty Transpantaneira with its herons, storks, and the unmistakable Hyacinth Macaw; the rivers of Porto Jofre, the finest place on Earth to watch wild Jaguars; the sandstone cliffs and Cerrado of Chapada dos Guimarães; and the Amazon-transition forests of Jardim da Amazônia. Along the way come the towering Jabiru, Greater Rhea, Southern Screamer, Great Potoo, and a supporting cast pushing past 500 possible species, alongside Caimans and capybaras at nearly every turn, not to mention the possibility of encountering Giant Anteaters, tapirs, Giant River Otters and other great mammals. Birding here is wonderfully generous: open country, water everywhere, and wildlife in numbers that stop you mid-sentence. Comfortable lodges throughout make it as relaxed as it is spectacular.
