7 days on the road with some of the best scenery and Psittaciformes Brazil has to offer. It's obvious that Tatiana Pongiluppi knows the southeast and its magnificent birds as the back of her hand. She's a skilled guide and fun to travel with. I loved every single moment of our trip ! Too bad it was so short but that's the best excuse to return soon.

Tati led this tour exceptionally, despite it being her first solo. As a seasoned traveler, I can confidently say she’s one of the best guides I’ve had—knowledgeable, enthusiastic, caring, and thoroughly professional. From planning our itinerary to accommodate both target species and budget constraints, to meeting us with a smile and seeing us off 35 days later, she was fully dedicated to our experience.

Tati’s exceptional field skills stood out—her keen hearing impressed even local guides, and she expertly identified bird calls I couldn’t hear. Her logistical expertise was equally remarkable, ensuring smooth hotel bookings, park access, and local guide coordination. Even when faced with challenges, like a car breakdown, she handled everything seamlessly.

Driving nearly 10,000 km safely in 35 days, Tati was always punctual, cheerful, and ready. She chose great accommodations, local restaurants, and ensured my non-birding wife felt included. Her humor, excellent English, and warm personality turned her from a guide into a friend.

Of the 250 target species, I expected 80% to be ambitious—but Tati got us 202! Fantastic work. We wish her the best and hope to travel with her again.

The Northeast Brazil birding tour was fantastic. Caio and Tati are wonderful birders and great people. Every time we needed something, they were there to provide it,whether it was snacks, water, translations. Along with the outstanding birding, we had many conversations in the car about the people of Brazil-who were all very nice-the history of the country-the Canudos War, Cabral's landfall in Porto Seguro, and many other things. I would recommend this trip to anyone. I am still missing those Northeast Brazil breakfasts and kilo restaurants!

I was on the 23-day Northeast Brazil tour with four other birders from January 20 to February 11, 2019, and what a fantastic experience! Our guides, Caio and Tati, were enthusiastic, energetic, and knowledgeable. I was hesitant about joining this tour because of its length and long car rides; however, every day was so exciting and different, and the drives made comfortable with interesting scenery and stops, including at local eateries and fruit stands. A truly memorable trip!

The trip was very well organised and Tatiana was a very knowledgeable and good trip leader, 100% dedicated to show us all our target species. I really enjoyed the trip and I would recommend BBE for anyone who is interested in Birding in Brazil.

I've traveled 3 times with Brazil Birding Experts and each trip was organized to a detailed perfection. These guys listen to you, translating your dreams, your wishes into an itinerary that is not only enjoyable for also productive.
In 2019 I traveled with Tatiana Pongiluppi and a few weeks ago I was on trip with Ciro Albano and then again with Tati. They are 2 of the 3 owners of the company and they all know their terrain inside out. Before they take you on a trip, they've re-scouted an area anew if they haven't been there for a few months. This basically guarantees you the birds that you're after. And trust me, it's a LOT more than I can say about other companies who offer their services as long-time guides.
I had a blast, on all 3 trips. All of them exceeded my wildest expectations and it's only because they ARE Birding Experts !
We had a lot of fun, besides the excellent birding time. And in the end, that's what we're all after, aren't we ?
