She studied Tourism Business, later specializing in ecotourism and biology, and began her guiding career with birds before gradually turning her focus to mammals. Today, she is recognized as one of Brazil’s leading mammal guides.

Her passion lies in searching for rare and endemic wildlife — from Neotropical primates to iconic species like jaguar, maned wolf, giant otter, and giant anteater. With a keen eye and a gift for connecting with people, Regina has guided unforgettable wildlife journeys across Brazil and beyond, including Chile, Argentina, and Costa Rica.
