

Luciano Lima
Luciano Lima is a Brazilian biologist with a Master's degree in Zoology and is currently a PhD candidate in Biodiversity. He began birding at the age of 13, and his deep passion for birds and the natural world led him to pursue a career as an ornithologist.
With over twenty-five years of experience as a researcher and consultant across a wide range of technical and applied topics related to Brazilian biodiversity, he has conducted fieldwork in all Brazilian regions and is especially recognized as one of the leading academic authorities on Atlantic Forest birds. Currently a researcher and coordinator of the Bird Observatory at RPPN Estação Veracel, Luciano also works as a scientific consultant and content producer for television programs and digital platforms dedicated to Brazilian nature, as well as on projects at the interface between biodiversity conservation and sustainable tourism.
He is the author of books and scientific articles and is actively engaged in science communication, sharing his passion for Brazilian biodiversity through television, radio, podcasts, and exhibitions. His work is driven by a commitment to generating and disseminating knowledge about Brazilian biodiversity and fostering meaningful connections between people and the natural world.
He has also been working as a bird guide for more than 20 years, sharing his enthusiasm and field expertise with birders from Brazil and around the world.
