He spent 17 years in the neighboring state of Paraíba before returning to Ceará to pursue a degree in Biology at Ceará State University (UECE). With a deep admiration for nature's boundless beauty, Lucas discovered his passion for ornithology early in his academic journey.
He earned his master’s degree at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), focusing his research on the seasonal dietary variation of the White-browed Guan in the Caatinga biome and exploring the use of feeders as an innovative conservation tool for this species.
